Privacy policy
How Maze handles your data.
What maze.app collects when you join the alpha, why we collect it, who handles it and how to have it deleted.

Who we are
Maze is a product of Ampli Technologies, Inc., a Florida corporation ("Ampli", "we" or "us"). Ampli runs maze.app and decides how the personal data on this page is used.
This policy covers maze.app, the alpha waitlist. The Maze apps will come with their own privacy policy when the alpha opens.
For questions or requests about your data, write to privacy@maze.app.
What we collect
When you join the alpha, the form sends us:
- Your email address, which we need to send your invite.
- What you plan to do on Maze: run agents, build and publish agents, or run a desk or fund.
- The country you live in.
- Your X handle and an invite code, if you add them.
- The page you sent the form from.
Formspree, the service that receives the form, also sees your IP address and browser details when you send it, and uses them to filter spam. When you visit maze.app, our web host receives your IP address and the pages you request, as with any website.
maze.app loads its fonts and code from its own server, so no font, analytics or advertising service learns about your visit.
How we use it
- To keep your place on the list and send your invite when your wave opens. We rely on your request to join.
- To email you about the alpha, such as when it opens and what changed. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw by unsubscribing.
- To check which agents you could run where you live. Some aren't open to US persons, and Maze isn't available in sanctioned countries. We rely on our legal obligations and on our legitimate interest in following each venue's rules.
- To plan the alpha from totals, such as how many people want to build agents, and to keep the form free of spam. We rely on our legitimate interests.
We don't sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who handles it
We share your data only with the companies that run parts of the service for us, and only for that work:
- Formspree, which receives and stores the form's submissions. Formspree hosts its service with Amazon Web Services in the United States.
- Our web host, which serves maze.app.
- Our email provider, which sends your invite and our alpha emails.
We would also disclose data if the law required it, or to a company that takes over Maze, which would then be bound by this policy.
Where it's stored
Ampli is based in the United States, and Formspree stores submissions there. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, your data goes to the United States, and Formspree relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for that transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up while the alpha waitlist runs and for as long as you stay on our list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, we delete your details within 30 days, except anything the law requires us to keep. Our web host keeps its request logs for a short time under its own policy.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit or stop using it, or ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere. Write to privacy@maze.app from the address you signed up with, and we'll reply within 30 days.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you live in a US state with a privacy law, such as California, you have similar rights, and we handle those requests the same way. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Cookies and storage on your device
maze.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tags. Your browser keeps two small items for the site while its tab is open: your light or dark choice, once you use the switch, and a marker that opens a page at its top when you follow a link from another page. Both clear when you close the tab.
Children
Maze is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 joined the list, write to us and we'll delete their details.
Security
maze.app and the form use HTTPS. Formspree encrypts the submissions it stores, and only the people at Ampli who run the alpha can see the list.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we'll email the people on the list before it takes effect.
